Founded in 1999
The UC San Diego Student Foundation is a non-profit, student-run philanthropic organization made up of diverse students who all strive to give back to their campus community. The foundation was founded in 1999 with a generous gift of $100,000 from alumni Marc and Patricia Brutten, who wanted to create an organization with the potential to grow year after year.
