The Development Committee leads the organization's philanthropic campaigns and works to educate UC San Diego students about philanthropy and the benefits of giving back to their community. Trustees in the Development Committee work on their communication, event planning, and donor relations skills. They also manage the process by which Student Foundation selects its scholarship recipients.
The Investment and Allocations Committees are responsible for the management of the Student Foundation's endowment portfolio. 100% of the funds managed by the Investment Committee support UC San Diego students in the form of scholarships. These committees are made up of Trustees as well as student analysts who apply via a separate application. Do you want to know about the achievement of the Investment and Allocations Committee? Visit the Student Foundation Investment Committee website.
The Senior Class Gift Committee runs the annual Senior Class Gift campaign that encourages graduating seniors to leave their legacy at UC San Diego by making a gift to the university. This gift will fund the scholarships given to incoming freshman and transfer students.
The Membership Committee is in charge of maintaining a balanced atmosphere and organized structure within the Student Foundation. The committee oversees Student Foundation recruitments, plans trustee bonding events, applies for grants, and facilitates interpersonal connections between trustees.
The Marketing Committee is in charge of creating digital, print, and other graphic materials to promote Student Foundation's events, initiatives, and purpose to the UC San Diego community. They also manage Student Foundation's social media presence.
The Student Alumni Associates Committee is in charge of creating opportunities for students and alumni to connect through professional, social, and networking events. They manage Student Foundation's signature Meet the Boss Programming.
