Minh is an incoming senior Economics student from ERC. He is so honored to be a part of the Student Foundation and is willing to dedicate his efforts to contribute good values to this campus. He is inspired by his family and his own experience of receiving UCSD scholarships to advocate for philanthropic spirit, it’s truly his pleasure to plan and create events and programs that benefit students’ well-being and success. With the support from a diverse group of talented members, the Student Foundation will host promising activities that encourage sharing and giving.
Isabelle Stad '25
Investment Committee President
Isabelle Stad is a fourth-year international student from Amsterdam, Netherlands. She pursues a B.S. in Business Economics and a minor in Film Studies. She has been passionately involved in the Student Foundation Investment Committee since her freshman year and will serve as president this year. In her free time she likes to read and hang out with her friends.
Kristela Marie Avendano '27
VP of Development
Kristela is a ERC Political Science major with a concentration in Data Science. She joined the Student Foundation her freshman year hoping to find an organization that worked for a cause greater than themselves, and was ultimately attracted to the organization’s special focus on philanthropy and the support of the alumni office to hold the Foundation accountable to its goals. Student Foundation has quickly become a community that she holds close to her heart. In her spare time, Kristela lives up to her title of D1 Yapper and catches up on the books on her To Read list. Kristela also works at University Centers on the operations team.
Kanishka Gupta '26
VP of Membership
Kanishka is an incoming junior at Thurgood Marshall College (TMC), majoring in Business Economics with a minor in Finance. She joined the Student Foundation to become more involved in the campus community and to connect with peers who share her values. She joined the Membership committee in 2023 because she liked the idea of taking care of people, that is the student foundation trustees, who take care of other students at UCSD. The Student Foundation quickly became a community that she loves and cherishes. In her free time, Kanishka enjoys reading (although she stresses about finishing her Goodreads goal), listening to music (even when doing the smallest of tasks), and cooking (without following the recipe but 80% ends up with good food). As an introvert, she finds joy in her small world when she returns home.
Zhuo (Angel) Kong '26
VP of Student Alumni Associates
Angel is a Marshall Sociology major student who participated in Student Foundation in her sophomore year. She was inspired by the altruistic spirit of the organization and decided to contribute more effort to students at UCSD. Angel was engaged in collaborating with other trustees in the last year and is eager to support the Student Foundation in its further path. She believed the philanthropic spirit of students and alumni can resonate with the community which will be immersed in love and amity. Angel likes traveling and handcrafting in her spare time.
Tyler Lenart '27
VP of Scholarship
Tyler is an incoming second-year student from TMC majoring in Business Economics. He joined the Student Foundation in his freshman year out of a desire to become more involved with UCSD’s campus and community and served as a member of the Development Committee. Tyler is excited to have an opportunity to give back to the UCSD student body and is looking forward to helping others through his membership in the Student Foundation. Tyler is an avid angler and can talk about fishing for hours, and he also enjoys gardening and making crafts with his Cricut machine. Outside of the Student Foundation, Tyler is also active in Circle K International and the Undergraduate Economics Society at UCSD.
Ruaida Alkafaji '25
Development Trustee
Ruaida is a Marshall student majoring in Political Science. She belongs to the Development Committee and decided to join the Student Foundation to gain more skills and help others. Ruaida loves to go to the beach and watch sunsets.
Naisha Nallakula '27
Development Trustee
Naisha is a ERC Business Economics major with minor in Law and Society. She joined Student Foundation her freshman year to be apart of an organization that worked to help others. She was touched by the organization’s focus on philanthropy and wanted to be included in that mission. Student Foundation is a place where she can connect with the community and give back. Aside from being a Trustee, Naisha works for the Scott Peters campaign as an intern and writes for the Guardian.

Linda is a Marshall student majoring in Business Economics with a concentration in Marketing and ICAM. She belongs to the Marketing Committee and wants to find a group of peers who push her to be a better person internally and professionally. She also believes it's her responsibility to help others and maximize our impact on the UCSD community!
Sharla Hall '26
Membership Trustee
Sharla Hall is a Marshall student who is a Junior majoring in Human Developmental Science with a minor in African American Studies. Joined Student Foundation Spring 24 as a trustee in membership in her sophomore year. Wanting to build community throughout UCSD and iinteracting with other students, since her passion is community building and helping those in need.
Jennifer Shin '25
Development Trustee
Jennifer is a Sixth College student majoring in Human Biology and on the pre-medical track. She hopes to work in the hospital one day as an anesthesiologist or another specialist. Aside from being a trustee, she enjoys going out for Korean BBQ with friends, going to music festivals, playing video games (like league and valorant), playing with her dog and reading some self-help books!
